These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of SmartTuition.ai (the “Service”), operated by SmartTuition.ai (“we,” “us”). By using the Service or purchasing a plan, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

1. What SmartTuition.ai is — and is not

SmartTuition.ai is an educational financial-planning tool. It applies public rules (IRS, FAFSA, federal loan programs, published school costs) to the information you provide and generates a personalized, semester-by-semester college payment plan with optimization strategies.

It is not professional advice. The Service does not provide, and is not a substitute for, financial, tax, legal, investment, or accounting advice from a licensed professional, and using it does not create an advisor-client, fiduciary, or attorney-client relationship. Consult a qualified professional before acting on any plan.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is designed for families and adult students planning for college in the United States.

3. Plans are estimates — no guarantee of outcome

Every plan is an estimate built on many assumptions — the figures you enter, plus projections for tuition and fee increases, financial-aid awards and their renewal, interest rates, and the federal and state rules in effect on the plan date. Actual costs, aid, rates, and outcomes will differ.

We do not guarantee any grant, scholarship, loan rate, tax benefit, cost, savings, or result. You are responsible for verifying all information — loan rates with lenders, aid amounts and eligibility with the school's financial-aid office, and tax matters with a tax professional — before making any financial decision.

4. Payment

A detailed paid plan costs $99 (one-time). Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card details. You authorize the charge when you complete checkout, and the plan is generated after payment is confirmed. Prices may change, but a change won't affect a purchase you've already completed.

5. Refunds

Because plans are generated on demand and delivered immediately, purchases are generally final. That said, we stand behind the product: if your plan fails to generate, or our quality review finds a material error we are unable to correct, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis at our reasonable discretion.

6. Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate information — the plan is only as good as the inputs.
• Independently verify the plan before acting on it (see §3).
• Use the Service only for your own personal, non-commercial planning.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit plans or Service content.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service, or attempt to circumvent rate limits, payment, or security controls.
• Reverse-engineer the Service, or interfere with or disrupt its operation.
• Use the Service unlawfully or to infringe anyone's rights.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, prompts, methodology, and design, is owned by us and protected by law. The plan we generate for you is licensed to you for your own personal use. You may print, save, and share it for personal planning; you may not sell it or present it as your own product.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any plan is accurate or complete.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any lost savings, aid, or financial outcome, arising from your use of the Service or reliance on any plan. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the plan at issue.

11. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may change or discontinue the Service, and we may update these Terms. When we update the Terms, we'll change the “Last updated” date above; material changes will be reflected with a notice on the site. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
