How to pay, school by school

At the schools that meet full need, the published price is close to meaningless for anyone who qualifies for aid. A family looking at $94,534 and concluding they cannot afford it may be wrong by more than $87,641 a year — that is the average award among students who receive aid there, and families rule schools out on exactly that arithmetic before ever finding out whether they qualify. Figures are projected to 2027 entry.

Schools that meet full need — verified commitments

Every commitment below is quoted from the school's own published pages with a source and a date, and shown with the conditions the school attaches to it — 48 of them across these 9 schools. Those conditions are where the real answer usually lives: whose definition of “need”, which undergraduate colleges are covered, whether transfers and international students are included, and what deadline applies.

Why only these schools?

A full-need page goes up only after someone has checked that school's claim against its own published pages and recorded the sentence that supports it. We checked ten to publish the first of these — one didn't survive, and 46 individual claims were dropped along the way, including one whose supporting quote turned out not to exist on the page it was attributed to.

Publishing a wrong claim about a named university is worse than publishing nothing, and a disclaimer does not fix it. More schools appear here as they are verified.
